a Jazz Tap Brunch

今天中午在曼哈頓下城的CAF`E LOUP有一場踢踏舞演出，主持人就是去年踢踏節來台北的Barbar Duffy，現場有一個三人的爵士樂團。以下是Duffy寫的節目宣傳：

From 1997-1999, the great sax player Bob Kindred and I hosted a Jazz Tap Brunch every Sunday at a restaurant called Zinno. The Daily News said, "A wonderful conversation in rhythm as the trio and the dancers spur each other on." Special guests always stopped in to tap dance or sing. It was a fun-filled afternoon of improvisation and the only jazz tap brunch in the city. I'm so excited about this reunion. Guests include Max Pollack, Maurice Chestnut, Claudia Rahardjanoto, Andrew Nemr, Lynn Schwab and more........... Hope you can join us!!!

什麼叫Jazz Tap Brunch呢?據我新認識的美國踢踏友人Tanya的說法是，周日大家都起的比較晚，所以吃的是早午餐，果然菜單上有牛排也有法式吐司，我點了一個侍者介紹的煎鮭魚沙拉，很好吃咧!!接著節目從12:30開始，邊吃邊看邊上菜，我們一直吃到下午2:30結束，聽聽音樂，看看踢踏，倒也是悠閒愜意的一個下午。不過可惜的是演出人員並未到齊，節目單上的舞者只來兩位，算一算表演踢踏舞的舞者只有五位，加上地板並不理想，細緻的聲音做不出來，真是有點可惜，不過舞者倒是玩的很享受。所以今天比較不像正式表演，氣氛輕鬆倒是比較像朋友聚會，而且今天的演出讓我發現，黑人的節奏性還真是予天具來的強項啊。
